The university has retained search firm Spencer Stuart to assist with the search for a new SVP for HR. The SVP for HR will oversee all HR functions and will lead the effort to create a professionalized, high-performing HR organization at USC. HR has also implemented enhanced background screens for new executive hires and promotions to leadership positions, and is currently rolling out new background screening process for all employees to further strengthen reference checks and behavioral assessments of employment candidates. The project to centralize and digitize all personnel files to increase HR oversight is underway; completion is estimated for 2019.
